Summary/Lore: Designated as “NOMAD”, these tripedal synthetic war machines are utilized as heavy walker units as the spearheads of Overwatch Deployed ground forces. Often deployed via an aerial dropship capable of carrying at least one of the enlarged Tri-Atharus Predatorlia, they will often lead a direct assault on malignant strongholds. Heavily armoured and containing insane firepower, their Dark Energy Cannon can wipe out entire structures, vehicles and low-flying objects without effort with just one blow. Their pulse-repeater cannon will shred biological targets and light cover to expose entrenched hostile forces.
Despite them being designed as heavy walkers, their incredibly thin yet mobile legs are able to give the Strider the edge in manoeuvrability, and two stances for treading different environments. Both have unique, powerful and destructive methods of destruction… but both cancel each other out in terms of advantages and disadvantages.
Firstly, their crouching stance allows the creature to move quicker, but at more vulnerability, whilst their larger stance makes them slower, standing targets… they must be covered effectively by both aerial and ground units. Do bare in mind that the loss of a strider results in complete operational failure, and may boost the effectiveness of hostile forces in the A-O. If they survive, they'll do the same for you.
As for their durability, the Strider is dosed in a highly resistant bio-hide that will protect the walker from nearly all forms of small arms fire, along with various types of shells and explosives. This makes it incredibly nigh-impenetrable unless locked on by penetrative ordnance, such as missiles and high explosive-propelled grenades.
