Summary/Lore:
Designated as “STAR” and offspring of the same species that relates to that of the Dal’Kyirth, the Hunter within Outland territories, or Mini-Strider within Urban territories both play a very similar role. These incredibly mobile, fast-attack synthetics do keep their own natural behavior, even ever since their “domestication” by the Universal Union. The two major differences between the Mini-Strider and the Hunter, is that they are both suited for variable scenarios and that there are two variations of subspecies.
Firstly, the ‘mini-strider’ sacrifices high-end mobility and weapon accuracy, for a grown Biomaterial hide that enhances its endurance and durability and a heavy-hitting pulse-repeater. They are primarily made to commence suppressive operations for Overwatch or Civil Authority to even act as escorts for logistical crab synthetics. They are not often seen in the public eye, and their existence plays as much of a mystery as their original purpose, intended. They also have their spiked legs removed, in order to fulfill their armoring requirements.
Hunters, on the other hand, travel in packs - and are far more feral than their mini-strider subspecies. Observing their behavior, they seem to be also far more intelligent, mainly because they are able to coordinate effectively with other members of their hunting pack. Delved with a lighter Biomaterial hide with relatively less constriction which allows for continuous movement, they are the perfect reconnaissance unit for lush and hazardous terrains. Their flechettes, of course, are explosive and are also highlighters and markers for even heavier barrage weapons. They are also able to charge at a target and impale them with their pincers. Very dangerous, indeed.
