Summary/Lore:
Unlike their predecessors, known as “STORM”, “HURRICANE” also served alongside the Union’s subsequent annihilator legions during the Seven Hour War. Whilst few in number, they were seen as some of the most powerful machines deployed, ones that were able to decimate multiple targets in the same combat zone. Ever since, surviving human scientists have attempted to improve on these war machines, by engineering biometallic sub-humanoid skeletons into their structure. The reason is that the original model of the Super Soldier is insectoid in nature, and despite their frightening appearance, were plagued with biomechanical flaws due to not having interior support.
Despite their slow deployment and approach towards a combat zone, it is often seen that upon their arrival, designated hostile forces are destroyed in a short time due to their sheer, overwhelming firepower. That being said, they were ideal to be flown in VIA a dropship, integrated within a detachment of “STORM” units within the same aerial transport. Their armor is very thick, capable of surviving a direct hit from a higher-caliber round to the chestal chassis to even the “head” of the synthetic unit, but not without consequence of operational effectiveness. “HURRICANE” is given its title, due to its ability to suppress the combat zone and acting as a deterrent as “STORM” manages to flank potential enemy targets. Both “STORM” and “HURRICANE” work in unison on the battlefield.
