Assumptions about the Race-X Empire
As a player character, you will know little to nothing about Race-X outside of the extreme basics. Anything you would not know will be marked by a ! warning message. Using info you would not be aware of in-game is a violation of the Server Guidelines. Please keep this in mind while reading.
Race-X is one of mystery, a foe that showed up during the Black Mesa Incident by only very few accounts by HECU personnel. Its presence was mostly spread out between that of the Incident, and later accounts during the Storm crisis between 2001 and 2004. At first, many assumed they were part of Xen or at least derived from the same location but this was later disproven with multiple records showing a complete unfiltered hostility between the various creatures of Race-X against Xenian lifeforms during the initial invasion.
Further supported by cognitive intelligence and function many Race-X species show; and the fact that said creatures are possibly far more prepped and bred for war compared to Xenian Alien Grunts shows a clear difference between the 2 sets of species.
Unlike Xenian life, Race-X tends to incorporate strategy and mixed unit tactics into its assaults, coordinated patterns that repeat themselves across many battles and the ability to "appear" even when no portal storm is present, potentially supporting the theory that Race-X DO NOT utilize the Borderworld for travel, and infact developed their own species trait to jump straight to dimensions, cutting the middle man out entirely.
Scientists have made many assumptions over the years regarding Race-X. Some support the theory that Race-X appears to be an Empire by its own right, one possibly equal with or at least at odds with the Combine as many of the Race-X lifeforms seem to possess gear and biological weaponry that is highly effective against synthetics such as the Race-X Shock Trooper that utilizes its bio-electricity to act as a EMP to disable and kill basic Synthetic foot soldiers of the Combine.
They also appear to be a unique player in the field, showing a well made comparison being a technological empire that is the Combine, Xen comprised of a mix of tech and biology and then finally Race-X who refuse to use any technology at all and instead rely on biological superiority- possibly showing an extreme disdain for tech in relation to its potential war against the Combine.
In reality, unbeknownst to Humanity, the fact of the matter is that Race-X, just like the Combine, is a multi-dimensional empire that garners support through loyalty and uses their biology to counter the Combine threat in their universes. Terraforming planets to adapt to their species and adapting their species to fit each new creature they recruit. Race-X is the antithesis to the Combine, a direct contender that doesn't seek to win via conquest, but through defence and recruitment of potential races.
Naturally the Race-X do not entirely like Humanity. The use of tech in Humans grasps unfortunately puts them at odds and see both the Combine and Humans as a threat- The only reason it hates Xen too, is simply due to a difference in mindset, thinking and of course a complete incompatibility on worldview.
WIP, this is just a rough draft so possibly why this entire page sounds really dumb right now. Larping as usual.
